Understanding Student Points

Understanding Student Points
Student Points (SP) are the credit system used to access AI-powered features in Academly. This section explains how points work and how to manage them.
What this section is about
Student Points represent usage credits for AI generation features. Each generation request (summaries, theory paragraphs, methodology drafts) consumes a certain number of points based on the complexity and length of the output.
When you should use this
Understand Student Points when you:
•    Want to know how much a feature costs
•    Are planning your usage for a project
•    Need to purchase additional credits
•    Want to track your spending
How it works
Point consumption
•    Small generations: Approximately 50-100 SP
•    Medium generations: Approximately 100-300 SP
•    Large generations: Approximately 300-600 SP
Factors affecting consumption:
•    Number of source documents selected
•    Total pages in selected documents
•    Output length (short/medium/long)
•    Feature type (summaries vs. theory vs. coding)
Viewing your balance
1.    Your remaining points appear in the header
2.    Detailed breakdown is available in Account settings
3.    Before each generation, you see an estimated cost
